Holiday Calendar Yarn Box 2024: Adventure Box!

This is Purl's 3rd annual Limited Edition Holiday Yarn Box. Pre-order now and we will deliver it (or you pick it up at the shop) on or before Nov. 30). Because of so many local pickups, we've decided not to include shipping in the price this year and to put more goodies in the box instead. So if you select the shipping option, you'll be paying $15 extra. Only 25 of these exclusive kits will be made this year, so don't wait to order!

This year’s holiday yarn box is a fantasy dungeon crawl! Of course, you can always use our custom one-of-a-kind hand-dyed yarns for whatever project you like (and we'll include a sheet of alternate suggestions), but we're including an adventure game where you knit or crochet your way through a dungeon, fighting monsters and collecting treasures. When you're done, your dungeon will make a warm and beautiful scarf, wrap, or blanket.

This year's box will have the following loot enclosed:

• 24 hand-dyed mini or micro sock yarn skeins (your choice)
  individually wrapped and numbered for you to open daily (or all at once!). The colors will correspond to different dungeon environments you discover.
  * Micro skeins are 10 grams/46 yards each (75% superwash merino/25% nylon)
  * Mini skeins are 20 grams/92 yards each (75% superwash merino/25% nylon)
• Multiple skeins of contrast yarn in two different colors to best show off your colorful dungeon
• Pattern cards in each packet with multiple room variations; your dungeon will be unlike anyone else's!
• Polyhedral dice and instructions for how to play the game
• A journal and character sheet for recording your epic adventure as you explore
• A link to a Ravelry group where you can share your travels and your creations 
• A fantasy-themed project bag handmade by Elizabeth
• Lots of cast-metal charms to add to your dungeon, representing some of what you encounter along the way
  
• Some other goodies, too!
• All in a reusable treasure chest and festive packaging

Pre-orders begin Friday, May 3. Order by May 31 for a lower rate of $225 for mini skein box; $150 for micro skein box.

Orders made after May 31: $250 for mini skein box; $175 for micro skein box.

Orders will CLOSE once we reach 25 total box orders. At the end of June we'll order the undyed yarn, and mini skein boxes will no longer be available to order if you haven't already done so.
